About:
Students from kindergarten through fifth grade at West Islip’s Manetuck Elementary School created heartfelt cards for service members as part of the Valentines for Veterans program initiated by former Assemblyman Joseph Saladino, now Oyster Bay town supervisor.
While making the cards, students and teachers discussed the importance of showing gratitude and admiration for America’s vets throughout the year for their service to the country.
